Inheritance Tax - resident in Spain - estate in the UK

I would really apreciate some advice.
I am a UK citizen resident in Spain. If I understand correctly were I to inherit from my parents in the UK then their estate would be taxed in the UK and then I would be taxed on the inheritance as an individual in Spain.
Double tax rules dont apply because there are two different taxes.
Can any tax planning be done to avoid this situation?
