Tarragona????

 Wondered if anyone knows of anyone living in the Tarragona/Tortosa area of Spain.

We live in Bulgaria at the moment but are considering moving to this particular area,maybe next year or so.

What I have noticed is that many of the country houses,"which we would want,5 dogs" are on large plots of land ranging from 2/3000sq.mtrs upwards, many as big as 4/5 acres.

Wondered if it's just the economic climate forcing people to sell,or would properties with large parcels of land incur large community taxes,as in council tax.

Any info people might have I would be gratefull of.

ps..I have lived in Spain before,in Oliva.

Hi , I live near Tortosa and my partner is an estate agent. Most of the properties in the countryside are for sale by English people.There is no work for them and they are finding it hard to manage. Land tax here is very low ,and not many people are paying IBI on their country properties as they are not classed as houses.

Hope you find what you are looking for in the area. It is a very beautiful part of Spain and not too hot!!
