6 TO 10% VAT HOUSE PURCHASE HIKE IN NEW YEAR.

DOES ANYONE THINK IF THE INCREASE OF VAT (IVA) FROM 4%

TO 10% ON NEW HOUSE PURCHASE IN THE NEW YEAR WILL IMPACT

THE SPANISH HOUSING MARKET THAT IS ALREADY DOWN FROM

ITS HEIGHT OF 2007 OR WILL BUYERS JUST BITE THE BULLET,

I PERSONALY THINK ITS A BAD MOVE FROM THE GOVERNMENT,

AND THE WRONG WAY TO KICK START THE AILING  HOUSING MARKET

JUST LIKE IN THE UK THESE SO CALLED DECISION MAKERS I.E

CIVIL SERVANTS MUST LIVE ON ANOTHER PLANET,

I ALSO READ THAT REFURBISHMENTS WILL GO FROM 8 TO 21%

ON THIS ASPECT I FORESEE A THRIVING BLACK MARKET.,

I.E OUT OF THE AUTHORITIES CLUTCH.,SOMEONE IS TAKING

THE MICK.

The decisions are taken by the politicians, not the civil servants. I do however agree that neither UK nor Spanish government are anywhere near the right track to recover from the double dip recession across the western world.

if someone wants to sell their property they will have to take the hit. however it is bonkers to put it up any amount, even after justifying the decrease this year with whats gone and next year looking even worse.
