Look the place is rubbish. Full of infighting, the council do not want to know, the builder doesn't care once you have paid the money. Lots of old people who do not want young residents especially with children...it is a retirement home. The websites you refer to are launching a counter offensive saying it is a good place to live only because the negative reports mean they cannot sell the houses. Steer clear, if ever there was a little England this is it. Why bother moving to Spain if all you are going to do is buy a house , build a 10 ft wall and go to the bars on the local commercial center?
Mazarron is a really god place to live but pay a bit more and live in Mazarron (or surrounding areas) rather than England in the sun (together with chippie, friday night fight night , wannabe town councilers with too much time and very little to do).
Great mix of nationalities consists of what part of the uk are you from

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM???
Builders are here, there and everywhere, and have even been seen to be fly tipping, so any rubbish flying about is not our fault. Camposol is a huge urbanisation, its going to take a while, and Yes, it will be sorted eventually.
From what I have been told today from another member, it is not only Masa who are idiot builders, its widespread, throughout the whole of Spain
Not everyone are involved in heated arguments just a minority, The majority of folk on Camposol are happy, friendly and law abiding. Our neighbours are Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch,as well as british. We rarely go to the commercial centre, we frequent the spanish bars and restaurantsas do most folk.
Get your facts right. Go and get a life you sad person
IF YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE...DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!

We bought on Camposol over 2 years ago and our advice to anyone looking for a home in Spain to see for themselves.
Sure there are infrastructure issues and some of the unsold proprties are unsightly but you need to see the bigger picture.
Wonderful mountain views, easy access to motorways and close to the Port of Mazarron and a coastline of superb beaches.
Camposol is jam packed with really nice people most with the same view ie to enjoy life in the sunshine make friends and discover Spain.
£ for £ or Euro for Euro we have got good value for money and are looking forward to moving in full time.

No offence Talker but we are not English, would not chose to live in England or England in the Sun so yet another so called fact has been shot out of the water. Our neighbours are Austrian, German, Dutch and Moroccan as well as some English, all very pleasant people. As Carole says we use the lovely restaurants in and around Camposol and the Port. We socialise with friends and have never witnessed any problems around the bars personally. I accept the fact that there have been occasions where there has been the odd unpleasantness reported from the bars but you would be hard pressed to go anywhere to guarantee no unpleasantness around alcohol (and no we are not anti - alcohol). There are discussions on the websites you speak of around facilities for children and it should be hoped eventually these will result in some substance but as you have repeatedly been told in various postings Camposol is still being developed. Seems to me that you come across exactly like the people you so obviously despise. Not happy unless they are causing ructions. We are not trying to sell our property. We are very happy with our purchase in Camposol and would recommend people come and make their own minds up. Nowhere on earth is perfect but Camposol has a lot of plus points. You have obviously looked at Camposol and decided it wasnt for you, that is your own choice, please allow others to make up their own mind. As someone else has said, if you have nothing positive to say it is possibly best to say nothing and let others make their own mind up.
Kind regards
macki

Campasol? - Don't know the first thing about it. But all I think is that there are a lot of narrow minded people on this forum who think that everyone from Britain is English. I am Welsh/British - not a Welsh Nationalist (you couldn't get further from the truth) but please folks, GB consists of English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish. The English do not make up the sum total of GB so when you mean 'Brtitish' please please do not say 'English' it drives us celts 'round the bend and back. Cheers and thanks for letting me get that off my chest¬

Spanish Togs,
Know where you are coming from. You could go one further and say we are payes de galles (Spanish for Welsh) I think Talker is talking rubbish anyway, maybe he is an estate agent trying to sell somewhere else.

Excellent comments! I think you must be right Candyfloss - Talker must be an estate agent trying to get folks to shun Camposol in favour of some other urbanisation. Hola Jambos and the others from Camposol. Candyfloss, next time you are nearby nip in and see Camposol for yourself. Oh, and Spanish Togs, you definately have a point there. The UK includes four countries not just one! (and I am not anti English before anyone gets their dander up!)

By the way, welcome to the forum, have made some good mates here as well as getting lots of good information. Mackie, Scottish by any chance . I feel a bling coming on so all in Camposol.......

Thanks Carole,
I just don't understand why there are people in the world that live to moan. Still look on the bright side, it got us all to have a good old natter didn't it? Looking forward to having a look at Camposol. Did have a bit of a google and it does look very nice. I always say you'll know when you find the perfect place for you and as long as you are happy there who cares what others think?

Talker is not an estate agent, just someone who bought on Camposol many moons ago and got fed up with all the hassle that moving to Spain was supposed to be without...from the builders, the council and the residents. So I sold and moved on. It had/still has the potential to be a really good place to live especially with the new roads that have gone in lately. As far as Polaris World is concerned this can only have a positive effect on Camposol - you get much better value for money on Camposol. But the constant infighting (if you live there you know what I mean) MASA / Council beligerence to services just drag the reputation of the place down. As for calling it little England let me see: requesting permission to have a fiesta to celebrate Bonfire Night in a Catholic country makes a lot of sense. I am a Celt too, an Irish Catholic one at that.
I do not mean to slag the place off but to potential investors in the dream holiday home you have to be aware of the problems which are, quite simply, being ignored by the powers that be. Interesting to see how the political parties made such a big deal of getting your votes and have done bugger all about the problems since. No surprise really, politics are the same the world over.

I just hope that eventually everything gets sorted ....and as soon as possible....because any bad press re UK buying in Spain is not good for anyone who has, or is about to, make the' Life Style' decision and buy in this great country of Spain which has so much to offer for everyone....and not just the sun

hi all,
with regards to the camposol knockers,
I am brit/scot, 71 years young, and love kids, especially mob of
grandchildren, partner 'hampshire hog', we were living in a villiage in rural
hampshire. idealic but
we came to camposol in march 07, took over villa, intending to holiday and to rent out.
after two weeks getting it ready, decided it was to good to rent, the area is
great, neighbours great, facilities great. to good to leave really.
not the usual multi-story breeze block apartments, but mostly individual villa's
in their own garden space. some problem ones, but rest ok.
usual ?ickheads, but you get them everwhere, all mouth, no put up.
back to uk, sold up, goodbye to everyone, back settled in by 4th july.
would not be anywhere else,
love it here, so dont knock it, till you have tried it.

What a shame you have had such a bad experience Talker but I'm sure you can understand that there are a lot of people who are happy where they are and your post did come across as negative against the whole area in general. I rented somewhere once which was supposed to be a select golf development and was appalled at the utter rudeness and arrogance of a certain "gentleman" in a top class hotel against lovely staff who were doing their level best on the opening night. So I hope he reads this and realises what a total arse he made of himself with his "constructive critism" . Sorry going off thread again but life is too short to be bitter. Just hope you managed to find a place that hasn't caused you grief.
