Renew my Passport

Hi All ,
Good Evening
I am looking to renew my UK Passport it runs out in June ,
Would the best thing to do visit Alicante Consulate and get it done there ( if that possible ) ?
They are the nearest Consulate to where I live and I dont wish to travel to the UK

UK Passport renewal can only be done via Embassy in Madrid - by post only, not in person.
