Building Costs Spain

Following on from the insurance thread we are looking at buildings insurance for our small community.  We've received a quote which covers 60,000 euros on each property for rebuilding costs.  They are small houses - 2 beds/bath up & kit/living open plan plus bathroom down - I would say approx. 75 sq m area, not including terraces).

Does anyone have knowledge on the average building cost per sq.m. in Spain (Costa del Sol area) is this a feasible amount of cover?  The insurance company has stated that is all they would pay.

Any info and advice would be welcomed.  Thanks in anticipation.

 I would say,even in these times,you would be very lucky to get 1,000€m2...in fact more like 1200-1500€ m2.

Thank you for the prompt response.  I think we need to go back to the insurers to establish why they are setting a maximum limit when in reality the rebuild costs would be substantially higher.
