Mains gas - Los dolses/ villamartin area?
The Comments |
Hi, Dies anyone know if there is mains gas in this area ? Just in the process of buying a property there, and looking at different ways of heating the place! Apparently LPG boilers have recently had new regulations placed on the storage of the bottles which adds alot if extra money to the already expensive central heating option! Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply !

Hi, yes there is mains gas in the area. We have a holiday home in Villamartin which has mains gas..used for heating our water. I know nothing about running radiators but I bet you can have them fitted..we do have an open fire :-)

Many Brits had LPG systems installed here years ago when 5 big bottles cost around 150€. They had two banks of 5 bottles , using one & when empty change over to the other ,allowingfirstset to be changed. I was amazed to find that , regardless of how frugally used, 5 bottles lasted barely 15 days.Everyone tells the same story. The same 5 bottles now cost nearly 350€, alright if you canafford & want to pay nearly 25€/day !!!!
Most have either changed to oil orhave put in wood burning fires.

That's a great reply and very helpful to us, we originally were going to go down the LPG route, but this has ruled it out for us now ! Not sure if there is mains gas or not, have you any idea as to whether the price of mains gas is similar to that in the uk or not? Thanks
