Come on everyone, is there really any need for this??
Unfortunately it's impossible to please everyone all the time. Not everyone is going to like the forum, the website, or even me for that matter. For a start it's not your standard PHPBB forum type and that automatically puts people off as they are unfamiliar with the unique layout and functionality.
In any forum there are always the regulars who post all the time. That's normal and expected. Not everyone is going to like them and there is always going to be friction.
For everyeone's benefit I think enough has been said and we should leave this thread alone now.
We're all here to share information and have a laugh.
Thanks
Justin

I do have some sympathy for what you are saying & admit that it took me quite a while to pluck up the courage to make my first comment on this site. I have been contributing to my development thread far more than on the general forum because I feel more comfortable sharing my limited knowledge with others in the same boat.
However, much of my knowledge has been obtained from the big contributors on the general forums.
I think in general any new contributors are welcomed to the general forums. Those that do not receive a warm welcome have usually not checked their contribution before posting & have not considered the "tone of voice" they are using.
I know that some comments trigger a huge & vociferous response but again this is often in response to illconsidered comments being made. I personally think it is quite rude that someone uses their first posting to "have a go" - why not acknowledge the expertise & helpful aspects of the site rather than dwell on the negatives.
As you can see I have got over my reluctance to post comments - don't know if that is a good or bad thing!!!!

Hi Noreen, no of course I did not think I should stop using the photobucket cos of your post...............if you knew how long it took me to learn how to do it you would understand my reluctance to stop using it. However, I do try to put in appropraite pics!!
Yes, somrtimes the threads contain a lot of posts from one or two peaple, usually those who know what they're on about and want to help. Also lots of fun is shared and that can't be wrong in this day and age.
When I first posted, I was a bit worried and I managed to upset a few people but I think that is inevitable and you can always apologise ( and mean it ) and moderate how you say something.
So lets all stop this now and be happy. ( Just can't resist it ! )

Hope that didn't cause too much offence.
Perhaps those members, (Noreen & Susan are excluded from my view BTW. I do understand your comments) who feel the "photobucket" happy posters are taking over ( ?!?!?,) should refer to the many hundreds of posts these same members have selflessly made in order to help the thousands of members who mainly lurk for whatever reason. It's quite take, take, more take at times. No one is paid here to offer help & support. No one pays to join. If someone requests advice or info & I can offer it, I do, as do many others. I've made loads of new friends in EOS, many of whom I've also met up with.
I, like many others, have taken great offence to Grown Up's remarks but I won't lose sleep over it.
Perhaps we could agree on this ........
