I recently tried to purchase an item online but the transaction failed because I had chosen a UK address and chose to pay with my Spanish debit card. I understand that for security measures, sites insist on the same delivery and card registration address, so I accept that there was some oversight on my part.
I was told that the money would be refunded within 5 working days but I still haven't received the money. The original transaction was on the 31st of July and the refund advice was sent out on the same day. It's now the 9th of August. I haven't had any experience with refunds in Spain so I'm not sure if I should be patient and wait a bit more or if I should send a 'strongly worded email' to the e-retailer. Is this length of time for a refund normal in Spain?
I'd appreciate any insight. I know it sounds trivial but I'm now nearly a 100 Euros short...
