Oh! Sorry Remus, my mistake I missed that 'reason'.
Having researched the M.O. on the internet, to find an answer for you, it would appear that I am not alone, as most (even all) results came up as using the M.O. as a way to 'avoid' tax. Seems the tax authorities who are hassling (investigating) you seem to be on the wrong wavelength too.
Remus:- It was to avoid being sued for millions should an accident happen whilst someone was using it. Lawyers advised that insurance only covers so much and so many risks. A limited company can only be sued to the limit of that company,
So, bottom line: It was a way to avoid, people using the property, being sufficiently protected in the event of a claim following an accident on your property.
I hope other owners have found a better way to 'protect themselves' by finding better insurance cover, so their renters can claim proper compensation and don't end up being the real losers.
