ITV on a British car

Many mixed messages on this subject but can you ITV a British reg car that has just gone to Spain and you are not reday to replate it yet ??

You can take it for an ITV some will test it and take you money (many won't) they may even give you a piece of paper but it will not be worth the paper it is written on and it will not replace a UK MOT or assist you in getting UK road tax

I think there is some transition period allowed whilst you transfer your vehicle registration and it may even be a pre-requisite to transferring your plates. But for general motoring simple answer do not do it

As Tadd says an ITV cert on any car but a Spanish registered one is not legal in the country where the vehicle is registered.

If you mean, can you have a vehicle tested in the UK before the existing MOT expires, so that say you can bring you vehicle to Spain for a few months,  yes you can at anytime.  You can also have an MOT test, uo to 1 month before expiry, and that will in effect last fpr 13 months.
