Firearms training in Mojacar / Aguilas area

Hi all, Can anyone help, I am a firearms licence holder in the U.K but have been told by the Guardia Civil that I need to attend a course in Spain before they will issue me a licence in Spain, does anyone know where they hold a course taught in english. I appreciate that I should be able to speak Spanish to a degree to attend a course, this is work in progress. Thanks in anticipation.

Are you meaning firearms as in rifled barrel or shotgun smooth barrel firearms licence?

Hi Baz1946,

I am trying to get a pistol licence as the British version of pistol is illegal in Spain, the barrel is too long. I competed in Germany last June and did well with the Magnum and Rifle as I practice regularly with them but it is the 9mm pistol I am specifically trying to get licenced for as they are illegal in the U.K, they allow more powerful and accurate weapons but not pistols that can be concealed, stupid but true.

Hi Reaper.

Thought I might have been able to help thats why I asked the question, but now it wont apply to you, I have an EU issued Fire Arms Pass, which enables me to take and use my guns in the EU countries, but only shotguns,  which I now only own, gave up all my other guns way back mostly due to not having enough time to do everything,  so for me now it's the muddy fields and hours of waiting.

Sorry I cant help, just a thought that maybe I could have. Good luck with it though.
