Does it feel like Christmas where you are?
The Comments |
Every year it seems to get less and less Christmassy. Less lights, less decoration less Christmas ads on TV less of everything related to Christmas. I can drive through the centre of Valencia, Spain's third largest city and not even know it is Christmas, walk through a shopping centre and get just a glimpse of the Christmas spirit. Shop windows aren't decorated, not even the national chains, its all very odd. I've been here a long time and eventhough the city has cut back on decoration, the shops normally don't...When it is Fallas, the city is unbelievable but Christmas seems to have fallen into the shadows. I know the crisis must have something to do with it, but the extent to which it is noticeable even by the locals is quite astounding. I was just wondering if this was something local or is it more widespread around the country. Does it feel Christmassy where you are?
