There are lots of Russians in our area. One new complex of flats has already been sold off plan to Russians and sScandinavian.  Several blocks near Zenia Boulevard have recently been completed and sold to the same customers.

There are advertising signs for estate agents all round Costa Blanca south in Russian and many of the furniture shops have their posters in Russian.

I believe Cyprus is in a worse state than Spain, hence the freezing of money going out and the raids on bank accounts a little while back. As I understand it, there are many properties with no deeds and lots of the land in the south is dubious if the UN manages to patch up the differences between the Greeks and Turks and many of the properties, north and south, could be compulsorily handed back to the relatives of those displaced in 1974. It also has an overall unemployment rate approaching 20% which, on an island which only has a population of just over 1 million, is quite high.

If you search for estate agents, Russian,  Spain you will come up with loads.

thank you for the replies so far.In answer to the questions about cyprus....its changed over the last few years and getting more and more expensive ie the most expensive electric in europe food is really over price. We are lucky we have the title deeds alot of people havent not because they havent got the mney for them but the developers wont let them have them..

For instance a property company  build 40 houses and sells them all, in the contract the say that title deeds will be available to them when the last house is sold.Surprise surprise the last house is never sold and what the developer does sorry DONE is go into the bank with 40 title deeds and ask can i have a loan on all these houses 3 million should do it '' of course you can mr developer because my neighbours best friend bought a donkey off your great grandfathers pen friend ' so you are very trustworthy ( even tho most of these mortgages were through the same banks here, the bank didnt bother to check ).

What happened with the banks last year was unbelievable you may or may not know this but over 150 million was moved from the banks in 5 days before the annocement about the haircut.( anyone with money over 100k was taken) Now Heres the surprise the presidents son moved 26 million, the electric and waterboard run but the mafia sorry goverment took every penny out of the accounts and the russians werent that hit the big hitters the ones in the know or know goverment officails were told what was going to happen and took out tens of millions !!!

Anyway i could go on, and i guess it happens wherever you lay your hat im just fed up of the small island with its small mentalilty.

I lived i barcelona for a few years before i met the wife must have talked too much in my sleep cos she said there is noway im going back there lol ...oo the single live vida loco !!!
