Fire Stick - in Spain

work in Spain?  Or does it need a VPN connection?

I'm not at all technical so advice in layman's terms appreciated.

Some of the apps will work some won't. The geographically restricted services like BBC iplayer won't work without a vpn. If you are considering a streaming stick this three page report by Techtrader is good

I use a jail Brocken 16 gig Android TV box that I brought of eBay UK they come fully loaded with apps because they are jail broken you can also put you own apps on ,a must have app for Spain is ukiptv and Show box both free to watch you can set the box up in the UK unplug it take it over to Spain then put your Spanish WiFi  password in and you are up and running the box will cost £35.00 to buy  don't forget to get a box with a box with at least a quaud core processer and a 16 GIG HARD DRIVE .

You can use a Fire stick and Google Chrome cast to watch UK tv in Spain. However you will need to enable your wifi DD-WRT router with a VPN service by 'flashing' it which is technically difficult for the average person. The VPN then disguises the phone line signal to that of UK or wherever, similar to a PC.

These devices take a wifi signal from your router and will detect you are in Spain and block geo restricted channels unles you flash it.

The simple method is to buy a  DD-WRT router that is already flashed. Some useful info here.
