Selling a UK car

We will in the next few months be looking to sell our UK car and are currently looking at all the possible options of selling it. Would appreciate any advice from someone who has already gone through the process.
We live in Mercia region, it's RHD and 6 years old

I have sold two UK Reg car in Spain. Both were quite a while ago.
The first car I sold at a boot-sale. The buyer was here on holiday and he took it back to UK.
The second was by an advert I put in an English language newspaper here in Spain. The buyer had a holiday home in Spain.
As far as I recall I notified DVLC and never heard another word about either car.

Many expat cars sales will buy and/ or part ex for you
Just give them a call - you may not get the best price but very easy
