Winter sun with plenty to do?
The Comments |
Hello
We are visiting southern Costa Blance shortly to see if we can find an area we could spend the winter months (long term rental) but need to know the best places to look as we don't want to find ourselves in a ghost town.
Any advice on which areas remain active with plenty going on during the winter months will be greatly appreciated. We are both of early retirement age although still working (both self employed) and reasonably active and just want to find a winter spot to enjoy life and relax and possibly buy a property in the future.
Look forward to hearing from you and thank you in anticipation.

Mojacar might suit.
I visit, but dont personally live anywhere near, but it does apparently have not only a micro climate but area including Vera and Turre is busy all year round with lots of semi and permanent Brits.

The only parts of the Costa's that tend to turn into Ghost Town's...are the big so called golf resorts like Polaris World and so on ...all the Spanish type towns / Ports / tends to be open a all year round ..but fewer people... it all depends what you are looking for if its a knee's up and getting pissed every night try Benadorm...it's seems to be jumping all year round.

Torre de la Horadada would be a good option to explore. It is part of Pilar de la Horadada, Costa Bblanca's sotuhern most town and has plenty to offer.

Thanks to all who have made suggestions, we will certainly have a look at the areas mentioned (apart from Benidorm -- sorry windtalker, been there and done that) and hopefully find somewhere that suits.
