Mobile Phone
The Comments |
Hi All,
I'm a non-resident property owner. It seems that to continue to have internet banking (to be able to check my account balance etc), I now need to have a Spanish mobile phone - as they will need to send me a code each time I log-on etc. I have a spare phone I can bring over, but is it best just to get a pay as you go? Any recommendations on network/tariff prices etc would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Clare

I am with Bankia. They accept a UK number for this. Not sure who you are with.

I am with Saudi Arabia telephone mobile company where I work and no problem today. But you have to appreciate situations can change on a daily basis. As far as I know there are no agreed international laws on what a country or it’s banking system must recognise or comply with mobile phones.
I also have a PAYG Spanish mobile but does not work worldwide. Perhaps if I changed to a expensive Spanish mobile contract it would work worldwide. It’s all magic to me, next time I want a mobile I will go down to the Paul Daniels shop.

Thanks for the replies.
