Thanks for that Jan, it looks good, so we'll  be going to that one as we all love traditional tapa's.

The free parking begind the police station will make it very easy for them to breathalyse everyone as they get back to their vehicles after their discoiunted drinks - guess that should raise awareness and revenue for the Manilva Town Hall and Mr Gil

Jan, not a problem at all.  Manilva Life is a great website which everyone in the area should know about.

I didn't know about the "Ruta del Tapeo" so we'll definitely be trying it out.  Thanks for posting the link.

Justin

I was actually referring to your earlier posting on ML of http://manilvalife.com/latest/100-foreign-residents-attend-dia-del-tapa-in-sabinillas-20071026.htm.

This is in the afternoon of the 9th

Good to see the event listed for Sunday as well

Where is Becky's at  Duquesa?   Is it near the Chinese restauant and the Karioke bar on the LHS facing the Med . If it is upstairs I have only ever been to the Italian restaurants.  I 've probably had a drink there ( of course ) but I never know the names of the establishments.    We always go to the bar with the comfy seats  and the Carte D'Or ice cream - don't ask me its name.   We are not going to Duquesa until the end of the month when hopefully we will be a Spanish home owner!!!

Tamsin, Becky's is round the back of Duquesa in a courtyard known as "Montes de Duquesa".  You have to drive up the hill heading away from the port to get to it.

I know where it is - we usually have our Saturday lunch there.  The apartment where we are buying is just up the road.  It's the English dinder that used to be a Tapas bar a long time ago.

Ahhhh, thats sweet! No real idea but so far the weather seems to be holding out - back sunny again, temperature daytime around 20 degrees (getting cold for me!) still lovely to sit in the sun - and its streaming through my office window at the moment!

This morning we were having breakfast around 10am and still sitting outside easily. Evenings can get a little dampish, but then again I have been here for a long time so am acclimatized - how I used to laugh at the spanishin their fur coats, hats and gloves in december/january when it was 18-20 degrees and sunny. Now its me wearing the winter gear and smiling at the tourists in shorts!

We'll be there, including the kids (which always makes it interesting!)

Weather looks like it will be fine this weekend.
