This post is not Spain related but I just had to tell everyone about the wonders of the internet and a website I've found.
Yesterday morning we discovered that one of our WCs was constantly siphoning water from the cistern to the pan.
My husband, who after owning pubs for 30 odd years, is more than capable of repairing the standard handle flush type. But this one is a dual flush, top of the range, Italian job!
We could not even fathom how to remove the cistern lid without possible causing further damage to the mechanism.
Faced with the prospect of calling in a plumber just days before Christmas I decided to do a search on the internet.
I found a brilliant site where I posted my problem on the forum and sure enough this morning I had a message in my emails to tell me I had got a reply.
In a matter of minutes we had removed the cistern lid in order to diagnose the cause. I was so chuffed with the result I immediatley posted a thank you and said we could see the cause and were researching how to tackle it.
Back I went with some instructions I found on the site on how to sort out the problem, and we soon had it sussed and sorted.
I went back to my PC to tell them we had sorted it and I found a second message with instructions on how to put it right.
I was over the moon with the website. What would a plumber have charged/?
That's IF we could have got one.
