HELLO MICHALA, SORRY BUT WE ALREADY HAVE A PLACE IN SPAIN BUT I NEVER MISS A PROGRAMME I LOVE ALL OF THEM. I JUST HAVE ONE THING TO ASK COULD YOU DO A PROGRAMME THAT REVISITS SOME OF THE ORIGINALS SUCH AS FRED AND MONA ON THE COSTA BLANCA , ANDREW AND BRIAN IN GREECE THE HUSBAND AND WIFE WITH THE FISHING PLACE IN FRANCE AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE COUPLE IN SPAIN WHO JUST KEPT GOING ROUND AND ROUND BUT NEVER SETTLED ANYWHERE, WOULD LOVE TO NO WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM ALL. ANDREW AND BRIAN IN GREECE  (That bl**dy window Brian wanted).
Also the couple who wanted to buy a snail farm. Last heard of back in UK but wanting to buy a boat  (if I recall).
You do leave viewers in the lurch.
Brian & Andrew (repeats) are on A Place In Greece ITV afternoons at present, BTW.

I think that Andrew and Brian are still in Crete yes it drove you mad about that window, I thought it was a strange arrangement especially with the other couple.  Yes I would like to know what happened with the couple wanting a snail farm. Are they back in England. Pat

We also love the programme (all the relocation ones actually) but are getting quite cynical about whether most of the people ever have any intention of buying or are just looking to be on the 'tele'. I know some do put in offers etc but as you say there are no return programmes.
I'd forgotten that Greek one with the window. Also that dreadful man in France who didn't seem to have any money but was buying with his friend who did. There was a whole series on them. He was camping and his friend was staying in a hotel.
We just love these people who want to open restaurants or hotels but have never worked in a service industry, don't speak the language and think it's going to be all rose tinted spectacles. 'We want to spend more time together' - Yes getting exhausted trying to make ends meet. Loved the young family who went to Italy , they really worked hard.

Hi Michala - have never seen your programme as I don't believe it airs here in Dubai. But have you considered looking at people who invest in properties in the UAE? Maybe people who have never even visited the UAE, have no idea of the infrastructure, legislation, etc., but still sink their money here? Might be worth considering. Unless, of course, your programme only covers Spain and not any other "home in the sun place"!! This message was last edited by Pitby on 2/1/2008.

Yes I love the programme it is quite addictive. I had forgotten about the couple in Italy they worked so hard and he was coming back to England to earn money as well. They lived in such alwful conditions to start with as well with the little boy. But they seem to have made it in the programme so I hope they did especially as they had another baby. So I hope it worked out well for them they deserved it. Pat

The man in France was Nigel ?, he later had another series about opening up a Indian Restaurant in France. That failed as well as his relationship with the young french lady.

HI SEMIJUBILADA, FRED AND MONA BOUGHT IN ORIHUELA, AND HE LOVED HIS SWEETS THE GIRL WHO DID THE PROGRAMME BOUGHT HIM A BIG BAG WHEN SHE WENT BACK TO SEE THEM, JUST SHOWS WE SEEM TO LIKE THE SAME THINGS, SO COME ON CHANNEL 4 PLEASE PUT US ALL OUT OF OUR MISERY PLEASE...............WE HAVE TO NO WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ALL THESE PEOPLE. Costa Blanca, Spain
Retired couple Fred and Mona from The Wirral spent every year from January to May in the Costa Blanca for their health. They decided to move out there permanently and with a budget of £80,000 they saw a beachfront apartment in the fishing village of Torrevieja and a 2-storey duplex in Villajoyosa. A year later, Zilpah Hartley visits the couple in their new home in Orihuela, Alicante to find out how they’ve adjusted to their new life in Spain.

I remember the couple who bought in Orihuela, didn't remember the names though.
I did have the details of the website for the couple in Italy but doubt I'd be able to find it at the moment.
I preferred the longer programmes, what about the one in Spain where they were rebuilding the bakery? The narrow streets and the damage that the bulldozer did to the neighbours property. Did they ever go back to that one?
