Island life......ah, the dream, eh?
Each to their own, I say, but......
Cornwall has a population of around half a million, and covers something like 1,400 square miles - plus, there are trains and roads out of it.
Menorca, on the other hand, has a population about the size of Penwith (about 67,000) and covers around about 350 square miles. You could probably walk from one side to the other comfortably in a few hours. Only way out when you're going stir crazy? Plane or boat.
But like I said, each to their own...........
