Here's the Major Cynic again!! Roberto, I'm sure I'll always beat you on the cynic barometer!!
Try having a driver double park behind you - with their national (from UAE) female passenger in the back - while he's gone to get her coffee and croissant, with your three year old sitting in the back of the car at 45c temperature and when you ask the woman "well, since you won't budge, can I move your car" (keys still in ignition and engine on for the AC) she just gives you the typical middle eastern thumb and first two fingers to indicate "just wait" and won't even talk to you! Strangulation comes to fingertips and a long slow death comes to mind!!!
Black and white stripes here just mean you speed up - as there are no lights and nobody stops anyway!!
Disabled parking slots are just normal parking slots with disabled signs and you will always see blacked out windowed cars parked in them!
I promise you compared to here, Spain was an absolute delight!!! We hired a car in Madrid when we arrived and drove down to Duquesa and back, drove to Seville twice from Duquesa, put LOADS of klicks on the clock and I think we saw one accident!!
Loved it, it was a pleasure driving - although when I'm comparing it to here, anywhere on this planet would win!!
Queen Cynic signing off!!
