Justin, just to add that Gypsy wrote in the bucket where I was trying to help her, that ...

"dont know what I have done now, get as far as selecting a file but it comes up WRONG TYPE OF FILE"

AND she sees my avatar as the dancing lady not the devil avatar she has been trying to put on herself. (I put it on mine to show her how it'll look if she EVER gets it sorted as hers.)

I see a devil on the right hand side after your message,
BUT I still see a dancing lady as your avatar.
DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG AT THIS END

Ah well, you have your answer, then, Gypsy...

Spanish computers do their OWN thing.

Sounds like a caching problem to me. Browsers collect all of the information on a webpage nd display it. They also cache some of the files, such as images and the like to save time when you next visit. Inthe security settings of your browser, you can set it to only check the webpage once per day and only change any dynamic content (qucker) or at every visit (a bit slower). Try hoding down the Ctrl key and at the same time click on the refresh button on your brower. That sould force the page to reload with any new files that may have changed. Failing that, you could try deleting all your browsing history which will start you from a "blank canvas" again.

Oh Mark, you're so knowledgeable. Us mere mortals can't comprehend it all.

Gypsy's gone on the  now.

Did you see my post Internet Modem, called a dongel through the Orange Network, for just 6 euros a month + a 2 euro connection charge

Any thoughts on that ?

Are you sure it wasn't the  too?  .

I know you mentioned image size in the other thread More, but it should be no larger than 150x 150 pixels and no larger than 50kb. If wrong file type messages are being seen, you can only upload in the Jpeg/ JPG (same format) or Gif formats.

Mark, if I save images/pictures/whatever in any form other than what can be uploaded on here I pop it into the photobucket which changes it to jpeg then save it back to my desktop from where I can upload the avatar. That's how I see it. Am I making sense ?

If someone says they can't use a picture they'd like because EOS says it's far too large I go into http://resizepic.com/  & do it in there as the bucket's avatar size often makes it too small to see as well as could be with resize site. I use a fair bit of maths sometimes with those that aren't square too.
