The image you want to use must be stored on your computer, if you are trying to use it from a wep page somewhere it won't work. When you use the browse button it will look in your computer's hard drive and you can select the image you want to use.

Gypsy, we are also using Windows XP microsoft
Aha, now we're getting somewhere.
You DO need to have the image on your desktop so if you haven't saved an image to a file on your PC that's your 1st task, Gypsy.
You need to save an image like this one (by hovering on the image then right click & save to a file, to then upload it to EOS as an avatar, though it'll be too large as it is, so needs resizing. I'll do it for you though if you find one too large. We WILL get Gypsy her avatar.

Do I assume you want the gypsy picture I've just posted, as your avatar ?
You DID say though before that you didn't see my avatar properly. (THAT WAS PART OF THE PROBLEM AS I RECALL !!!)
Can you see the gypsy picture on mine as I've just changed it to show you (& that size did actually work.. yippeeee)

Okay, go to the page http://www.eyeonspain.com/Secure/Member-profile-avatar.aspx and you will see the following page.
I've covered over the writing with the drop down box that shows you should be at your forum profile. You then need to click the upload your avatar link which will take you:
You then need to click the Browse button which will give you the following:
You then need to select the file from wherever it is stored on your computer (in this case My Documents), then click upload avatar. If it is the correct size and file format it will be uploaded.

Will this one be acceptable ? (Mark, I think that will confuse Gypsy.) Hey, Gypsy sees the gypsy avatar I have, wow.

Just HANG ON A MO, Gypsy then. As you can (hopefully) see I have resized it & have it as my avatar.
If you want it as yours you must right click on THIS size & save it to your hard drive.
Mark, your huge images have cocked up the thread, my dear.
It's now 105 x 150. This message was last edited by morerosado on 7/20/2008.

They aren't huge (merely 800 pixels wide), but large enough to show easily what is needed to be done. If they are of no use to Gypsy, someone else may find them of use.
