We've been renting holiday apartments in Torre de la Horada for a few years with a view to buying around there when we eventually get tired of English weather.
Never had ANY problems until this year, and so the following may be regarded as untypical.
Apartment description was great, facilities good, Sky TV etc. '20 minute stroll to the beach', etc.
Apartment WAS great, except : The TV provider seems to be out of business, possibly one of the rebroadcasters that are currently assisting the Guardia with their enquiries....
The 20 minute brisk walk to beach was a 45 minute hike through assorted building sites and a sprint across the IP7 (Gave the local traffic cops a laugh anyway !)
And the electricity was cut off by the Electric Company the day before we left, for 'unpaid bills'. Showering and shaving in warm water, in the dark is sooooo much fun !
We WOULD like to convey our thanks to Lisa Lawrence, Surf City, in Pilar for all her help in airport transfers, finding Dave the Electrician who tried to solve our power problem, and finding a home for our fridge / freezer contents !
If anybody finds this interesting enough to reply to, I'll drop in more tales of earlier visits,
Any tips from people involved in CCTV or the Security Industry out there in relocating, business setup or employment would be greatly appreciated.
