And welcome to Hildur and Elvar. Janice good idea about restaurant thread. I hear what you say but as you know I started the Mar Menor thread to try and keep out the nasties. In fact it was while reading one of the nasties replies to a member that had just by accident wandered into a wrong thread and was told to b*****r off that I felt the need to pm the member. Since then we have become good friends and have been in touch. Otherwise this member might not have come back into the forum again which would have been a real shame as we get on really well. You know my views on bullies!!!!!!!!!!  So far a lot of people have joined in on the Mar Menor thread in a very short space of time and I'm sure it will continue to grow. However I think the best way forward is to for members to post into eateries and also if they want to double up here (trust you Janice to put in photos and maps you show off you) you know I have a terrible time when I'm in the photo bucket. I haven't got as much experience as you on the areas and knowledge as we have only just completed ourselves but stay in here because there will be so many people who will benefit from your vast knowledge, advice and kindness. You have given me so much info and I thank you for it.

Great photos of the square, liked the one with the nine foot sign of the name. I'll just pretend it wasn't there before, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Have you been to the Santiago de la Ribera market, just like Ponty market but with sun. There is one in Los Alcazares, but does anyone know which day and where?  Gina

 Can't tell you how many times I,ve walked past that sign - & missed it completely! No glasses on  - thats my story!!!

LA market day is Tuesday, Los Narejos (next to LA) is a Saturday. Have heard good reports of them both but haven't been.

I,m the one who got told to b*******r off by the way - believe me, if I'd known I was on that thread I def wouldn't have posted - glasses required again!! Don't worry Gina I,m not that easily scared off these days - seems like you have to develop a bit of a thick hide on these forums sometimes.

I also have a deep & abiding fear of 'the bucket'! Always seem to get lost.

That's cool. I only know three or four in the area myself so I'm no expert. Everyone on this part of forum are lovely, not that I'm trying to split it up in any way, shape or form, They'd better not make me use the Think Happy Thoughts sig again. I'm sure people must have thought I was some sort of mad hippy!!!! I think I got the point across though. . Anyone know of local locksmith? There is a key cutting shop in Dos Mares but not sure if there is a locksmith service. 5 weeks until we come over again hoorah!!!!!!!!! Can't wait.

was just hoping i could get a small beer fridge to tide us over until I can order fridge/freezer etc. while we are there. Phew we've got lots to do, at least we will have the beds and sofas in. I need to get a life don't I???? Head down to the pub, I'm getting silly now will head on down to the pub then!!!
