Rixxy is right, sometimes even though I work, it seems like a permaent holiday  - when the sun shines that is. Not been much of that so far this year!

Hi Rachel

Thanks for that, we are hoping to stay a little closer but will certainly bear it in mind when we start planning.  Although I have booked the time off work and flights thats all we have done. We love our place in Montesinos and surrounding area so much, and could happily stay there all the time but we would love to see more of Spain. We have had a few holidays  in Calahonda [Costa del Sol] and been to Barcelona on a weekend break from England, rest of our Spain trips have been Costa Blanca area.

We are away for a week to playa flamenca 22nd.

We will meet a couple of friends who have a place in los montesinos, theyve been out there all winter.

Looking forward to it, we are hiring a car this time hope to get around a bit.

Jeanie.

Well, it was meant to be Dubai at start of February, back to Inverness in May to see first grandchild, Turkey for brother in laws wedding in July, and Barcelona for my 40th in September.

But, my husband informs me that his crew change dates have changed so all above will be off, apart from Inverness in May, when it will undoubtedly still be like winter. Although I shouldn't compain as we are moving to Javea in March!

Never mind, I will get my own back, I can feel Disney for Christmas coming on.....where are those brochures...

Our only holidays this year are likely to be back to the UK!

We have already booked flights for end of February/beginning of March, as it is John's 65th birthday on March 1st, so we are going back to allow him to celebrate it with his family.  Incidentally, anybody planning to fly back to the UK between now and the end of March should look at Ryanair's website as there are some good deals if you book before midnight today.

My daughter has announced that she plans to get married in July or August in London, so obviously we will fly back for that too.  I was not impressed as flights are likely to be expensive, which will limit how much I can spend on my outfit!

Perhaps we will treat ourselves to a weekend away somewhere in Spain as well, however even if we don't you could say that, living in Spain, we are permanently on holiday.

Hi Susan

We have done Disneyworld, Orlando at Christmas on 2 occasions & it is absolutely fantastic.

The decorations are bigger & better than any you will see anywhere else & the Christmas parades are a must.

It can be horrendously busy though & we have not had the courage to visit Magic Kingdom on Christmas day as it is supposed to be the busiest day of the year & apparently you can't move in there.

The only downside is that the continuous loop of tinny sounding Christmas Carols gets a little w earing after a while.

I would definitely recommend it though.

Hi Susan,

No I've never been at Christmas,  but would really love to. We've been to Disney (Florida) five times (three pre-child!) and one of the nicest times we went was at Halloween. Everything looks so lovely when its covered in pumpkins - they are really so into Halloween over there! Have friends who flew out to Florida on 1st January and have just arrived back who say it was amazing with all the Christmas decorations.
