Another newbie needing help with completion

Just so you are aware, the Nationwide have changed their policy on use of the card abroad. Plastered all over their website is the statement that you do not need to notify them when travelling abroad. This is untrue and they now advise you to inform them before travel. There is an option on the telephone system now to advise them of your travel dates. You are also advised to provide a contact telephone number for them in case they "block your card" while away.
I found this out after advising them of my travel details, yet still having the card refused. Apparently notifying them via the online system does not count!!

Yes I absolutely agree having had my NW card stopped abroad. We now notify them of all travel which save any problems.

Thanks for the info Mark we will make sure we notify them when we go next.
When we opened our account last year, they did tell us then that its often best to use the card at the airport on your way out - to leave a trail!!!!
Don't know if it helps as well, even if you just draw £10 out.
