hi can anyone advise best way for my 19 year old niece and friend to get from alicante airport to la mata by bus taxi option will be to expensive many thanks

There's no direct bus service from Alicante airport to Torrevieja or from Torrevieja to Alicante airport - you have to go via Alicante town.
C-6 at bus stop number 30 at Alicante airport goes into Alicante town - (out of the arrival building, cross first street, then go left up the ramp).

Not sure if it would help, but have you considered flying to Murcia, it would be a lot cheaper for a taxi from there.
