PHONING ON SKYPE
The Comments |
In spain I have internet connection and telephone via
a satelitte system.
I want to subscribe to skype which will cost me 4-5 euros
per month for unlimited calls 24/7 to any european landline.
my question is-:
if I use skype for all my outgoing phone calls will my provider
also bill me a charge for using the skype system instead of
using my landline.??

If you use Skype, your telephone is known as VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Calls between Skype members are free worldwide, if you want to call landlines and mobiles you take out a package such as you are going to do. The money you pay to Skype is to pay for your telephone calls, you don't pay anyone else for voice calls, unless you use a traditional landline/ mobile. Your internet subscription is the only other thing you need to pay for and Skype will use that to work.

Have you looked at VoipCheap? In my opinion, better than Skype. you can call landlines in 22 countries (including uk) totally free of charge, you can mobiles free in some countries (USA for example) and you can send text messages too.
you download the software free from www.voipcheap.com and you put a small amount into an account to pay for text messages and calls to Countries that aren't free)
I've used it for 2 years without a problem
