Problem dogs
The Comments |
Some houses on our urbanization are rented out to people with LOTS of dogs in each house who bark continually and are generally a great nusiance. It has now become quite serious as another owner has their family visiting and one of them has received a nasty bite that is needing ongoing medical treatment which is obviously going to ruin their holiday. The police were called but they have been told it was an 'accident' and the owners are very sorry. I'm sure they wouldn't get away with it in the UK, does anyone know if there are any laws in Spain for this sort of thing or any suggestions about what they can do?

You can insist on action --and it will be taken, if you denounce the owners.
The offending dogs can be removed and put down .

Hi,
put a denuncia at the police for the phisycal attack (attach a copy of the doctor's report) and also mention about the nuisance. Make sure you quote who the tenants are and who the owners are.
At the same time, as you live in an urbanisation, ask the president and the community management to include in the meeting of the next General meeting taking measures about this issue. The community can start action at court in order to cancel the use of the premises.
Good lucl.
