Free English Premier League football on Spanish TV

Those that live in Spain and enjoy watching football, this blog post may be of interest.

Not exactly earth shattering news...as UK EPL football has been available for the last 3 years on TVE channels, La 2 and Teledeporte.

but from 2010 / 2011 for the next three seaons will only be available on D+ and GOL TV...subscription TV services.

the 2010 world cup will be split between Cuatro and D+, Cuarto will be showing one game a day, D+ showing all.

BBC and ITV will be splitting coverage - with matches on BBCI, which can at the moment be received on an 80 cm dish in many areas of Spain (for example on a Sky box go to 503 - BBC News - Press Red, 3001 Slect - bingo bango bongo BBC SPorts....Winter Olympics will also be on here!)

Maybe not to those 'in the know', but for anybody just setting up tdt or recently arrived I would have thought it very useful.

As is THIS WEBSITE PAGE to see what is on, when. It is one well worth bookmarking.

LJs site is useful, but unfortunatly TVE dont annouce until very late the games they are showing...and sometime LJs have updated TVEs games about an hour before they are played.....not giving much notice to plan ahead.....

although TVE sometimes (not often) show a 3pm saturday kick off, sometimes show the 530 saturday kick off, they show one of the sunday games - usually the 4pm game, and it is pot luck if they show any midweek games...

GOLTV, a pay TDT channel shows delayed matches and highlights this EPL season, and will show more next season. 15euros a month. They have rights to many football leagues. You need a TDT receiver capable of accepting the GOLTV viewing card, ora TV with compatiable PCMIA (?)  card reading slot
