Dear all,

Spanish friends of ours in Campanillas (Malaga) with a breeding company are really struggeling in these difficult times to feed all their 100 Pure Breed horses and donkeys and pay all the vet bills etc. Therefore they are sadly forced to sell 50 animals of different ages at ridiculous prices.
For more information please have a look at elburroandaluz (dot) com
If you can help them in any way or know anyone who can, please contact them directly (they speak little English) or contact me on zuyderwijk (at) yahoo (dot) com

Thanks you very much for your kind help and enjoy your weekend!
Yolanda

Hi Bassie

You could approach these people

The donkey santuary

Sidmouth, Devon EX10 0NU
Telephone: +44 (0) 1395 578222

I know they are in England but they rescue donkeys from all over the world. and I beleive they are charity status. It might be worth talking to someone there.

Phil

I watched a programme about someone who had a sanctory in Costa Del Sol, it showed him organising a vet check on the donkeys at Mijas.

Perhaps you could do a google search to see if it still excists.  It was a long time ago and was probably a re-run, in these troubled times it may not be still running but it's worth a try.

He may even be connected to the UK donkey sanctuary and they may be able to help you if Google can't.

Thank you both for your kind replies.

However, in first instance they really would like to sell 50 animals (although at very low prices) in order to cover the purchase of food and (outstanding) bills for the remaining lot.

If the animals cannot be sold it is ofcourse worthwile to contact a charity.

So again, please, if anyone can help or know someone who might be interested in buying one of these lovely animals, do not hesitate to contact them or me.

Many thanks!
