Woolston Riders' charity mission is on the move!
Lisbon -Estremoz -Llerena- Cordoba- Granada -Almeria - Mojacar
600 Miles In Six Days with a +4000ft climb in Granada.
The gruelling ride is almost over! Friends Terry Reid, aged 48, Wayne Buckles, aged 49, Mick Skerrett, aged 52, and Martin Finnegan, aged 47, - along with Stuart Hardman, aged 47, as support driver - They set off to Mojacar from Almeria today, where they will complete their Charity bike ride for Cancer Research from Lisbon to Spain in gruelling temperatures of upto 33 degrees, we believe temperatures have not been that high at this time of year for many years. We would also just like to remind people that the lads are still pedalling away for Cancer Research and there is still time to support them and cheer them on and message them on twitter @C2Criders and donate via justgiving.com/WoolstonRiders
All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK in memory of Martin's cousin Melissa Renouf, who died in October 2013, aged 38, from the disease.
He said: "We have been inspired by Melissa who lost her brave battle in 2013.
“We want to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research and hope that it will go some way to one day stamp out this terrible disease. This ride is being funded by ourselves so all donations will go to Cancer Research."
