We have an apartment on la Isla Condado de Alhama purchased for 270000 off plans now apparently worth around 80000. Our mortgage product through Sabadell bank has recently changed to repayment rather than interest only costing around 510 euros per month. The mortgage loan is for 103000.00. We are struggling to get any rental income from the apartment and the monthly costs are hard to keep on top of. What are our options if we can't keep up with the payments ? I've looked into handing keys back but it looks unlikely, we also have a management company trying to rent out the apartment as well as advertising it on several sites myself. My husband and I are separated now albeit amicably so we both want to separate our financial ties if possible. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Michelle

Recent posts have commented about people taking Banks to Court, winning first instance and then appeal, but then saying all interest plus most of the deposit us then being eaten up with costs from the Bank. I find some of the articles very confusing and wonder if there is any evidence to support these claims or refute them. There always seems to excellent news of cases being won Maria, but have the clients actually got their full money back, or are the articles correct.

I agree with M1 1Block - Has anyone actually got their money back from a bank where they paid the depopsit? If so I want to use your lawyer now!
