What´s Christmas & New Year like in Spain - Piccavey.com
Wednesday, December 4, 2013

As the month of November came to an end and we hurtle into the month of December on my blog I took a look at how I prepare myself and get organised for Christmas. On the post I include 7 tips for preparation and avoiding chaos in December,  If you are not quite ready for the festive fuss just yet, this may help you get things under control.

Over the last week I have also taken a look at the typical things happenings over Christmas and New Year in Spain. The tradition of the Belenes or Nativity scenes is one of my highlights to see throughout December and January, but I also talk about the typical food and festivals too. I have listed it all from 5th December up until the sales start on January 7th so that you can plan you activites throughout Christmas if you are in Spain. Remember to get your 12 grapes readty for New Year´s Eve too. The article is especially relevant for the Andalusia region but many other areas of Spain have the same traditions. (I spend my Christime divided between Granada, Barcelona & UK)

Other things on the blog this month was a great Interview with Expat blogger Cat from Sunshine Siestas. Cat is based in Seville. She kindly explains all the fun of the Seville fair and what to see if you ever head to the capital of Andalusia. As I met up with her in Malaga in November we exchanged interviews about out new home cities, Granada & Seville from an Expat point of view.

And hot of the press this week´s post (due out on Friday 6th) will be about a holiday I took in Ibiza and Formentera a while back. My memories of the stunning sunsets and transparent turquoise waters make me want to go back there soon. It really it like the Carribean in Europe.

If I don´t get chance to write again before the end of 2013,

best wishes for Navidad and the New Year

Kind regards
Molly
