You didn't need to put in the headline the details of her injuries in order to create drama and sensationalism, you only had to state,' Marussia driver Maria de Villota has been injured during testing at the Duxford circuit in Cambridgeshire.

Don't see a problem with the headline myself as her injuries were indeed life threatening and certainly life changing, so to signify the horrendious nature of her accident I think the headline describes the event correctly.

Well I'm knee deep in mud at Silverstone and A) I can't see anything wrong with the headline and B) Many of the drivers here produced well wishes for Maria and her family and even had these wishes on their helmets. Motorsport is International and we all feel for her and her family. When the Williams garage had their fire in Valencia all the details of equipment; handling and management and possible problems and solutions were sent from Sir Frank's team to all the other teams. In a sport of total secrecy the safety of all transcends such concerns. I'm sure all we readers of Eye on Spain wish Maria well.

I agree with the majority here - simply a factual report. Maria did lose her eye and that is tragic. There's no value in watered down headlines. You don't see 'slight altercation in Syria, some people may have been hurt' ...
