About PERROS DE ALICANTE: This group has been formed to save and re-home dogs from the Province of Alicante. The aim is to find the RIGHT home for the dog, and the RIGHT dog for families.
All potential adopters will be home checked by an independent person.
Adopters should realise that there is no such thing as a FREE dog, and will be responsible for all veterinary costs and transport.
We want dogs to be saved from a life in a refuge, and to find loving forever homes.
Everything we do will be in the best interests of the dog...............nothing else matters
Contact us on:- Perrosdealicante@outlook.com
Here is the web page for the refuge.

It IS a Protectora...............NOT a Perrera......No dog is put down no matter how old nor how long it has been there.
Their veterinary facilities are quite basic, (a table) so any dog needing more than an antibiotic has to be taken out by volunteers and treated at their expense.
The vets visit 5 times a week.

Please help us by donating to our pay pal account Perrosdealicante@outlook.com Many of these dogs have been handed in because their owners have been evicted or cannot afford veterinary fees that these dogs so need . All the dogs we help have at one time been someone's pet and these dogs don't understand why their world has suddenly fallen apart.
In order to help - if you use Facebook - please share our facebook site https://www.facebook.com/groups/574365302587287/ with your friends asking them to join and for them to ask their friends to join. There are so many dogs here in Spain that need your help. Please help us to help them by doing this simple task .
We need to get more of these poor dogs out the longer they are in there the higher the risk that many will die of parvo or distemper. These dogs shouldn't have to die of a broken heart and are crying out for your HELP
Thanks Jackie, Irene, Steve and Karen
Yesterday we managed to take NINE dogs out of the Protectora, what a day!
So there were 9 sets of paperwork, and the vets had to do 27 sets of tests, 9 microchips and passports.
Here are some of the photos from yesterday.
The video below is one taken by the volunteers who removed the dogs above, sadly too many had to be left behind.
The video is hard to watch & is meant to be, to make others aware of the work certain people do, to make life better for some.
