Having rented out here in 2004/5 and moved out here to Almerimar permanently in 2005 I can strongly recommend the following book to anyone who is in the process of purchasing property in Almerimar, renting out a property in Almerimar or hoping to sell a property in Almerimar.
It is called You and the law in Spain and is written by David Searl. The latest edition available on Amazon UK at present is the 2007 edition but he tends to update the book every year or so as the laws here change. So check for the lastest version on Amazon before you buy.
It costs around 20 quid but it was worth every penny for us as it helped prepare us for the legal side of most things to do with property in Spain. It also deals with taxes and the issues of running urbanisations in Spain etc.
Our lawyer at the time of our purchases said it may not be absolutely 100% accurate as some aspects of the law can be open to discussion but he recommended it highly.
