Hi Rob,
I´m in Spain now and have been to the sales office and spoken to Marcus. Of course, I also went to the site and had a look round. I also took some photos, which i will post up here when i get back next week.
Anyway, I think this is good news at last! I was expecting very little change on the site since i was last there 12 months ago, but things have moved on, although pretty slowly I suppose. Blocks D1 and D2 now seem to be complete, at least on the outside, but I am going to the site tomorrow and I´m determined to get into the apartments to check out the interior. I don´t care if i have to bribe the security guard to get in! I will also take some photos and post them up here.
The area in front of the D blocks has been significantly cleared - maybe in preparation of putting in the pool or simply that material has actually been used up. However, I only saw couple of workmen and no plant/machinery other than 3 or 4 cranes, maybe there were many more beavering away inside (LOL!). Besides, it can only be the inside that they´re working on.
The problem blocks that are holding the site up (B1,2 & 3) haven´t had any work done to them as far as I can see, but we all expected that.
However, the very good news (if someone can confirm this) is that the C block has been erected upto (i think) 3 floors. I´m pretty sure that this only had ´footings´ last time I was here.
Marcus in the office said he expects 12-18 months for completion (but doesn´t he always? haha!). But it does seem very likely because as soon as the planning issue has been resolved with the Junta De Andalucia (btw, does anyone have a name and contact in that office?) then work can quickly recommence on the aforementioned blocks.
So, overall I came away extremely happy and positive about the prospect of it being completed, as I´m sure the photos i post up will convince most people on here too.
Anyway, I´ll get some more photos of areas i couldn´t see last time and also from the inside,
Hope thats enough for you for now,
Faz
