General Elections In Spain

Saw the weather report in the UK for the weekend and decided to do a last minute trip to Murcia, Fri-Mon.  Weather was fantastic in Spain, went to site on Sunday

The new show apartments are open in Narejos, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs.  We have seen the previous show apartments on Jardines which had been better prepared in that the furnishing in the Narejos apartments was just reused from Jardines (apparently some of the original showhomes have now been handed over).  The awning on the solarium had not been put up and a few other additions were not quite there, but this might be that they had been prepared in a bit of a rush to get them open and viewable.  They were still lovely and the pool was full, gardens green etc.

The entrance way to the resort will be spectacular, we took photos which I will download this evening, although someone else has already posted one of the Condado de Alhama sign which might even end up being a water feature?

The motorway network to get the resort speeds the transfer up from the airport, you can probably do the journey in 35-40mins from Murcia Airport now, and easy, I drove for the first time abroad and managed it!

We are on Jardine 5 backing onto the sports facilities.  I will post some photos of this too.  It has a red brick building and lots of green wire at the moment.  Apparently it is going to house an interim Supermarket and a cafe bar in the short term, but will then be changed to be the gym, paddle courts, tennis courts and a outdoor football area.  This ties in with the revised visual model that was in Polaris Head Office that we visited yesterday - I have also taken a photo of this which I will post this evening!

All in all a very good trip.  The resort is looking incredible, and a huge amount of work has taken place since our last visit.  We were informed that the golf course would be "green" in October although not playable until well into next year, but at least that means it will look ok.

We sign on 1 August and can't wait!

Great report to brighten up another dull day in my office. Can't wait to see your pictures later. I wish we could nip accross for a few days. My wife and I are saving our holidays for our completion which is expected to be later in the year.
Great news about the course, even if it's not playable, it'll look fantastic!!!!

Thanks for the update. Great to hear of progress as it makes it all seem real ! Did you notice how the penthouses at LNJ were coming along ?

We could see them in the distance, external structure appeared to be up, just needed bricking in from what we could see.  But you know what Polaris are like, you can only get so far onto the site, I begged to get onto Jardine 5, but they weren't having it, so frustrating to 100m from your future holiday home and not be able to actually see you it!  5 weeks to go..........

      We had the same frustration a couple of weeks ago, they wouldn't allow us to see our apartment on garden 9. Wouldn't even let us get out of the car to take pictures. Have to agree the place is looking good.

I assume your in Narakos garden 5 right?  
In your first mail you say you have a completion date of Aug 1st.  Is this a guess from someone at the site or have you had the official completion papers?

We are on Jardine 5, with the sports facility next door.  I have now downloaded some photographs.  

I have also included photographs taken in Polaris Head Office yesterday of the model which makes everything a little clearer.  

In addition there are a couple of photographs, one shows the "lip" on the bedroom wall that people have been referring to on the forum and the other shows the penthouses in the background of the new show apartment complex which is now open on Narejos.

Pics are great Lindsey- you clearly did the right thing because the weather looks much better over there last weekend. The garden pic gives a good perspective on the width of the gardens and the pool area looks good. I did wonder about what the fencing would be like and whether it would spoil the effect but railings are better than the wooden fencing we expected.. I  like the models/plans, its easier to see that the place is going to be huge. Definately need to buy a couple of bikes!

Your Pics look great, looking at them it seems our apartment is not completly built. this could explain why we have not had a completion date.

We plan a couple of bikes, especially  for when the Foro is by Naranjos- athough my husband seems to be suggesting things with proper engines!! I'm still not sure how you'd get a scooter or motorbike up on the roof terrace to secure it when we're not there!! However we have found some electric cycles that have possibilities (not so heavy) 

We have an assortment of cycles here ready for the day we decide to drive and ferry across to Spain.
