Hi all,
Just back at the weekend from 11 fantastic days staying in our apartment. Surprised at the size as it actual feels alot bigger now that furniture etc is in place. Had a great round of golf playing with friends we met when completing back in February. Gas was connected and no problems with temp supply of water and electricity. Pool was not filled as there is electrical problem with the top end of phase 6 and the street lights. This is probably due site entrance still being used that cuts indico in two. There were 9 pools open and you can use any of them to take a plunge.
The golf course was in fantastic condition, challenging but fair. Undulating but not hilly, Easy to walk with a trolley and the girls took a buggy to experience all the different views and thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon whilst also getting a healthy tan. The course is up there with some of the best I have played throughout the world, considering it has only been open for 3 weeks it can only get better so long as it is not over played. Round cost 55 Euros, (but used voucher so was free), club hire 20 euros, trolley 4 Euros and compulsory insurance 3 euros. Im sure it will get the PGA status that they are striving for. It is also officially the longest course in the South East of Spain according to the pro. My favourite hole is the 4th, both myself and my playing partner both put 3 balls each in the water whilst traversing the 9th. That wont happen next time. inshallah! Still I feel proud to have such an excellent facility in my back yard.
The temporary bar kept expanding the number of table outside and laid on entertainment most nights and extremely friendly staff, Thurs quiz nights, Friday kareoke, Sat & Sun band and BBQ, and as a bonus on the monday it was the festival of San Juan and we had a fire juggling act to entertain us plus BBQ and free drinks all night.
The temp supermarket is well stocked with essentials and sometimes easier than visiting Eroski or Carrafour etc that are so large they can be half day events. The other half can be spent in Leroy Merlins.
The temp pro shop and the driving range facilities were very good.
They are having a heat wave at the moment for June but it was a good time to test the air conditioners, all very effective and for those with the bedroom condensor on your patio/balcony, its not too noisy and can offer a welcome air circulation from the fan, especially sitting out at 2 in the morning taking it all in with a nice long drink. Very dusty though during the day due to the new road still being built outside the resort. Watch out for Snowy the lime lorry driver, I couldnt believe he doesnt wear a mask.
The whole atmosphere on the resort is very relaxed and friendly and we are looking forward to many years of enjoyment.. Flights already booked for August and October.
Enjoy
