I only joined this site yesterday, but am I glad I did on reading some of the comments regarding San Cayetano.
We went over to Los Alcazares last week, in order to obtain our NIE numbers and to arrange Power of Attorney with the solicitor, but naturally wanted to see our purchase, a 3 bed penthouse on Manzana 6 Bloque 5. So, the representative from the property company, took us to see what we had bought. She had arranged with the guy on site to open up for us, and in we went. He left us to it, saying that if we had any questions, he would be in his office, and to go and see him.
Our main question was about the pool, as we were never shown it. Now, I know why!!!!!
Guess what! When we went back to the office, he was nowhere to be seen.
we are in a similar position from what I understand from reading other messages. My wife went over in 2006, and our commitment so far is about £40k, and the main reason she chose San Cayetano was because of the pool facility, thinking that our 8 year old granddaughter would be fine for coming over in school holidays. If the pool is a non-starter, our whole attitude changes.
We should have had completion on the property in December 2007, then March 2008, but we received a letter from Taray in November 2007 to confirm that the property would be completed on December 31st, 2007.
We have wondered why, if the property was completed, have they not requested any final monies from us, and perhaps we now know the reason why.
There will be calls and e-mails flying around tomorrow, and any news will be circulated.
Regards to all, Tony and MaureenSadler
