Hi there, have you not seen it yet?
The gatehouse is fully finished and looking very impressive. There is a glass fronted office for Miguel and his wife to use (security) when they need to escape from the elements and a entrance and exit lane both with gates. They have planted troughs of flowers either side of the entrance gates and it is looking very pretty. There is a key pad and a code for getting in and out in the evenings if you do not have your security fob with you. Miguel and his wife have also brought in their own plants to make it more homely! You cant fault Key Mare for the design of it.
Also for any that are not aware, Key Mare have put up Commercial signs advertising the fact that the shops are going to be built down on the corner by the roundabout (again part of the Salinas project) and the artrist impression looks smart . Also a part of land has been cleared between our site and the road recently. Not sure what this is for unless it is starting the construction process of the shops and to be used for site equipment?
Phase 2 is coming on well, we had a good nose around the site the last time we were out there and a lot are now finished internally and out ,and, they have started to pave the paths etc around the blocks, however the pool is still incomplete but that is usually done right at the end.
We also tried the bus service from Salinas to Mojacar Playa which goes all the way down with stops by Consum,Puerto Rey through Garrucha and along the coast to the Hotel Indalo, the winter timetable is obviously not as good as the summer but is very punctual. It goes on the dot about once an hour and only cost E1.20 to the end of Mojacar. However word of warning last bus at night during the winter is at 9.30. However remember in the summer it goes on until the early hours.
We are out at the end of the month and will take some photos for those interested and will post 2nd week of Feb!
