Closing times of Supermarkets in Malaga and Nerja

Hi anyone out there from jardin 12 (the show garden), was 11 in the old numbers. We are in 1272 1st floor, 2 bed.

We completed on June the 18th with the Notary Isabel Rico in Los Alcazares without problems apart from a 4-hour wait.

I did the snagging on the 17th with the Parador Rep. trying to get a little of my 700euros back. No problems were found inside but the white paint had been allowed to run over the tops of the border tiles, particularly badly on the upper terrace and had not been wiped off at the time. PW rep. Naiomi, called the foreman over, he asked me if I wanted it cleaned and I affirmed that would be my wish! When I went up next day the job had been done but with an abrasive that had removed not only the paint, but the glaze from the tops of the tiles. This means the are no longer waterproof and will have to be teated with a clear waterproof sealer. I wrote to PW 2/3 weeks ago and still wait a reply.

Anyone else with this problem?

We are planning to coat the terraces with a clear waterproof tile sealer as the tiles are very porous that they use and will show all the spilt wine stains etc.
You can get these from the majority of DIY places out there.

Good idea Mike.  I assume from your posting that you prefer red wine to white wine then?!

From your other posting "Snagging work compleated - Jardin 12" I take it we are neighbours, and we look forward to meeting you sometime. We too have the letter from PW regarding the 3-month period too get in a second visit. Unfortunately if we come out in September as planned, we will be just 2 days out of time so I assume PW will close the file. Fortunately we found no faults other than the paint on the tiles so not too bothered, but the snagging was very hurried as the parador rep driving me lost his way and we arrived late and were locked out after only a short look inside.

Yes Debbie we like a glass or two or three or more of red wine, hopefully is Spain we will get chance to sample a bit more at a knock down price. 

Roy, did Parador do the snagging with you and would they have a copy oy your report? Alot of people who accompany you to the snagging will go back to sign the work off.

Yes the Parador rep did the snagging inside whilst I was taking some pictures for Elizabeth (she completed by POA) to see when I got back. I had meant to check his snagging but was locked out by the PW rep whoes time had run out. He said all was OK inside so only the paint run on the border tiles was noted, so I don't really have anything to check on, otherwise it would have been a good idea for Parador to do so.
