We have just returned from what could have been described as the 'hoilday from hell' but in some ways shows what a fantastic community we have at La Canada.
Two days before we set off for Spain we were informed our bathroom was flooded with sewage! It seems the outlet to the main sewer was damaged in our neighbours garden from when the bungalow was built. Two seperate calls to Quara from myself and some badgering from residents and it was repaired, although we need new doors and frames and next doors garden needs finishing, the hoiliday went ahead.
On Sunday, all 7 of us were having lunch on the roof, I shut the Grill on the front door but did not lock it. Within 3 minutes someone had been in and took whatever they could, keys, phones, passports, money etc etc. The Spanish Police were very good and prompt in responding, our neighbours, again excellent in helping us.
The point of this thread is to thank everyone who helped us with the sewage flood, (our house was clean and smell free when we arrived) and also in dealing with the break in. Thank you very very much.
On a lighter note I drove out of the round-a-bout this morning and the commercial area is being started in September to be finished in 5 months!
