while i appreciate your concerns, and after living in our apartment for almost four weeks i have to say that when we got our keys we did not know and it was not a concern as to the positioning of the pergola, and as i say being there so long we were up top quite a bit and as it turns out when you are sitting you cannot see too much of the garden or otherwise below without getting up to peer over. but what you do have is unbelievable views of the mountains etc while having dinner or whatever you also have the terrace outside your front door where you can have, and where we have a table and four chairs and is as good a place to sit and watch the kids at the pool. up top is still a good place to be to chill and have a nice drink and munch in sunshine or in shade. day or night. dont lose the dream because of this,everything else is still the same inside and out of your property, certainly in my opinion even better and, more to come.stay postive.

I agree and I too will have a similar set up to you. However I fully understand why people are upset when they are promised one thing and given another, The foro issue was disappointing to some, whilst others saw it as a positive ( i.e less potential noise / parking issues etc). On another thread mark has an end property that has a 20 inch low wall that his toddler keeps going over onto the road, and pW seems to be giving him the run around despite doing additional building work on other similar properties. We all can and probably will make the most of the situations we are presended with, but sometimes a bit of honesty and indeed PROACTIVE information given by PW would be nice - not just on this topic but awnings , TV, hot - tubs on solariums, washing lines, outside lights etc etc.
