hi the type of shutters fitted at the back would require major surgery to fit to the other windows as they are fitted during construction.

have you considered the folding trellidor type which can be fitted on the inside or outside.

Never thought of extra shutters but we noticed that the window didn't feel very secure and could easily be forced open.

We were going to look for window locks when furnishing. 

Has anyone else put window locks on, if so where did they get them from and were they easy to fit. (Assume any DIY store will do)

Mirrored glass, ehm!  never thought of that.  
Do you mean they put some kind of backing on your existing glass or do they change out the existing for completely new glass similar to a two way security mirror?
