We completed on Jardine 5 recently.

Snagging  threw up a few minor cosmetic issues, however when we got into the apartment and got builders supply of electric and water on, further problems were identified:

1.  Polar Air (Gary) fitted the air con and all was fine until the living area unit blew out warm air after an hour.  He returned and replaced the unit and again the same problem occurred after an hour.  Further investigation revealed a leak deep in the bowels of the Polaris World pre install.  He is trying to get this resolved with Polaris World but apparently this would not to be the only case were pre intstall issues have arisen.

2.  After getting the water on I thought I would get to grips with the water heater.  "What is this for" I mused as I pushed the little black tab underneath.  Three seconds later I was holding back a flood.  The clear plastic tube had become detached from the connection.  After trying to reattach this I was amazed how loose it appeared to be and phoned both Polaris World and Emma at Snagitmurcia.

We left a towell below the heater and came back the next day to find it as soaking from the dripping atttachment.  A builder turned up, reconstructed the flood scenario, shook his head and replaced the tube.  Believe it or not he then heated the end of the tube with a cigarette lighter and stuck it on the housing.

Make sure you ckeck these if your water is on.  I don't know how permanent this lighter job will be.

However all this apart the resort looks abosultely fantastic and we can't wait yo get back out in October.

Good luck to all on Condado

Hi J&P,
Sorry to hear about your heater and air con problems. Would it be an idea for us to take some jubilee clips over ourselves for the heater tube that came away, i know polaris should do this themselves but i will feel better if i do it, assuming i have the same problem. If so what size roughly is the tube diameter.
                       Cheers,   Chris.

From memory the tube is only about 1cm in diameter. When I snagged, the tube was hanging down below the boiler, and neither me nor the snagging rep knew where to 'stick it', as it were !  I went down to Camposol to pick up some bits and pieces and when I got back it had been connected. I used the boiler on about 3 more days after that and it didn't disconnect thankfully ! Hopefully for  you,  your tube troubles are now over.

Yes it is a clear plastic tube about 1cm in diameter.

The problem appears to be the tiny connectoin joint.  I am not sure if clips would be the solution.  Might be a case of duct tape.

Duct tape it is then J&P, might take some clips over anyway.
